Welcome to the Navigators in Manitoba
The decade of the sixties certainly left a legacy. The Beatles, formed in 1960, did their last recording together in 1970, yet they are second on the list of sales for this first decade of the 21st century.
In 1969 a “Navigator” named Mac invited Manitoba students to join “a revolution of love.” He has been followed by others who have helped Manitobans take Jesus Christ seriously by following Him in not just belief, but in actions.
As a group we are continuing to look for opportunities to help people know Jesus. We have groups at the Fort Garry and the Bannatyne campuses of the University of Manitoba. We have been involved in establishing Running and Reading Clubs in three Winnipeg schools and three northern reserves.
We are looking forward to two very exciting opportunities for 2011-12: Partnering with CANU as they bring students from the inner city to the Ft. Garry Campus (working alongside volunteers from the Faculty of Education, Nutrition and Bison Sports) and Ride for Refuge - riding bicycles to raise money for displaced, vulnerable and exploited people.
We gladly partner with all who are interested in seeing the good news embodied in Jesus Christ becoming the compass that guides us through our lives.
Please join us.
